Product Overview

Overview

The MS-590 uses transmitting and receiving microwave antennas to measure bulk materials without direct sensor contact. Multi-frequency microwave signals pass through the material, providing representative measurement information from within the microwave path rather than only from the visible surface. Moisture and density can be evaluated using separate application-specific models and calibration curves.

Application Scope

Suitable for selected:
Tobacco and recovered-paper bales
Paper packages
Sinter and pellet materials
Minerals and aggregates
Agricultural and other bulk materials

Detection Principles

The MS-590 transmits multiple-frequency microwave signals through the measured material. Moisture and density changes affect microwave energy attenuation and signal response. Independent application-specific models convert the measured responses into continuous moisture or density values.

Key Advantages

01

Non‑Contact Penetration Measurement Measures through the material without direct sensor contact, supporting thick layers, bales, packages and bulk‑material streams.

02

Moisture and Density Analysis Moisture and density can be evaluated using independent application‑specific models and calibration curves.

03

Stable Industrial Measurement Microwave measurement does not depend on visible light or material colour and contains no mechanical moving measurement components.

04

Flexible Configuration and Integration Supports different antenna arrangements, customized calibration, 4–20 mA output and RS232 communication for process‑system integration.
