Product Selection
Choosing the right measurement solution for your application
How do I choose between NIR and microwave moisture sensors?
The choice depends primarily on your material type and measurement depth requirements:
- NIR sensors are ideal for surface or thin-layer moisture measurement (e.g., paper sheets, coatings, food surfaces). They offer higher accuracy (±0.02%) for moisture ranges of 0-30%.
- Microwave sensors penetrate deeper into bulk materials, making them suitable for granular solids, thick slabs, or materials with high moisture content (up to 80%).
Our application engineers can evaluate your specific material properties and process conditions to recommend the optimal solution. Request a consultation.
What measurement accuracy can I expect from MOSYE sensors?
MOSYE sensors deliver industry-leading accuracy across our product range:
Actual accuracy may vary depending on material homogeneity, temperature stability, and calibration quality. Contact us for application-specific accuracy guarantees.
Do your sensors support integration with existing DCS or PLC systems?
Yes. All MOSYE measurement systems are designed for seamless integration with industrial automation infrastructure. Supported interfaces include:
- 4-20 mA analog output (standard)
- RS-485 / Modbus RTU
- Profibus-DP and EtherNet/IP (on select models)
- OPC-UA for Industry 4.0 environments
Our closed-loop feedback architecture achieves latency under 50 ms, enabling real-time automated process corrections. Specify your existing control system when requesting a quote.
Which industries are your solutions certified for?
MOSYE holds certifications and proven deployments across 8 core industries. Our systems comply with relevant industry standards in each sector:
We are a National High-Tech Enterprise (国家高新技术企业) and hold ISO 9001 certification. Pharmaceutical and food-grade models meet GMP and food-contact safety requirements upon request.
Can I request a demo or trial measurement before purchasing?
Yes. We offer on-site demonstration and sample-material testing through our Changsha Application Engineering Center. Our process:
- Submit your material sample and process parameters
- Our engineers run controlled measurements in our lab
- We provide a detailed accuracy and feasibility report
- On-site pilot installation available for qualified projects
Contact our Shenzhen HQ or Changsha R&D Center to arrange a demonstration at no obligation.
Installation & Calibration
Getting your system running accurately from day one
Does MOSYE provide on-site installation and commissioning services?
Yes. Every MOSYE system purchase includes professional installation and commissioning by our certified field engineers. The standard service package covers:
- Mechanical mounting and alignment verification
- Electrical wiring and signal integration with your control system
- Initial calibration using your actual production material
- Operator training (typically 4-8 hours on-site)
- Commissioning report and baseline accuracy documentation
Our team covers all major industrial regions across China. International installation support is available for select projects.
What are the environmental requirements for sensor installation?
Standard MOSYE sensors are rated for typical industrial environments. Key specifications:
High-temperature or explosion-proof variants are available for harsh environments such as metallurgical furnace lines or chemical processing. Specify your conditions at the time of inquiry.
How often does the sensor need to be recalibrated?
Calibration intervals depend on application stability and regulatory requirements:
- Standard industrial applications: Annual calibration verification is recommended. Most sensors maintain accuracy within specification for 12-18 months under stable conditions.
- Pharmaceutical / food-grade applications: Semi-annual calibration is typically required for GMP compliance.
- After material changes: Recalibration is recommended whenever the production material grade or formulation changes significantly.
MOSYE's software includes a built-in calibration drift monitor that alerts operators when measurement deviation exceeds a configurable threshold.
Can operators perform calibration themselves, or is a technician required?
Routine zero-point and span calibration adjustments can be performed by trained operators using the on-screen calibration wizard -- no specialist tools required. For full recalibration involving new material models, our remote support team can guide your technicians through the process via video call.
On-site calibration service visits are included in our annual maintenance contracts and can also be purchased separately. Contact our after-sales team to schedule a visit.
What is the typical installation lead time from order to commissioning?
Standard lead times from confirmed order to on-site commissioning:
- Standard catalog models: 3-5 weeks (production + shipping + scheduling)
- Custom-configured systems: 6-10 weeks depending on specification complexity
- Urgent projects: Expedited production may be available -- contact your account manager
We recommend initiating the order process at least 6 weeks before your planned production line upgrade or new installation date.
After-Sales & Maintenance
Ongoing support to protect your investment
What warranty is included with MOSYE measurement systems?
All MOSYE systems include a standard 12-month warranty from the date of commissioning, covering:
- Manufacturing defects and component failures under normal operating conditions
- Remote technical support for software and configuration issues
- Replacement parts at no charge for covered failures
Extended warranty packages (2 or 3 years) are available and recommended for mission-critical production lines. Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorized modifications, or operation outside specified environmental limits.
What is your response time for technical support requests?
Our support SLA tiers are structured to match your operational criticality:
Are spare parts and consumables readily available?
Yes. MOSYE maintains a comprehensive spare parts inventory at our Shenzhen headquarters and Changsha R&D center. Key components -- including light sources, optical windows, signal processing boards, and calibration standards -- are stocked for same-day or next-day dispatch.
We commit to spare parts availability for a minimum of 10 years after the product model's end-of-sale date, ensuring long-term operational continuity for your investment.
Can MOSYE provide operator training for our production team?
Comprehensive training is a core part of our after-sales commitment. We offer:
- On-site commissioning training -- included with every installation (4-8 hours)
- Advanced operator workshops -- covering calibration, diagnostics, and data interpretation
- Remote training sessions -- for follow-up or new staff onboarding via video conference
- Documentation package -- operation manuals, quick-reference guides, and wiring diagrams in Chinese and English
Training can be conducted at your facility or at our Changsha Application Engineering Center.
How do I report a fault or request an emergency service visit?
To report a fault or request urgent support, use any of the following channels:
- After-sales hotline: Available during business hours (8:30-18:00, Mon-Sat). Emergency line for contract customers available 24/7.
- Email support: Submit a service request with your system serial number, fault description, and photos/logs if available.
