Application Range

E’jiao is a precious health food and medicine unique to China. The E’jiao refining process is

extremely meticulous, requiring dozens of procedures such as hide boiling and gelatin refining.

In this process, if there is a problem in any single link, the entire batch is ruined. Among them,

there are two techniques called “Hanging Beads” and “Hanging Flags”: when the E’jiao liquid is

concentrated to a certain degree, it is picked up with a gelatin spatula, and the liquid slowly

drips down in a continuous beaded shape, resembling a string of pearls, which is named

“Hanging Beads”. Its purpose is to judge whether its moisture content is in place based on the

liquid’s flow rate. Hanging flags is another beautiful scene after hanging beads. When the liquid

is concentrated to a certain degree, picking it up with the spatula causes the liquid to adhere to

it and fall slowly in sheets, resembling a fragrant ink painting. This is also an important method

for judging moisture content in traditional craftsmanship. It is evident how important moisture

control is in the E’jiao production process. However, the traditional E’jiao production process

relies on hand-in-hand manual teaching, which is exhausting and unable to guarantee the

stability of quality and the continuity of production. In order to solve the problem of automatic

moisture content control during the E’jiao process, Germany’s MOSYE cooperated with

Shandong Dong’e Group to develop a dedicated moisture analyzer for E’jiao. It solved the

problem of online real-time monitoring of moisture content in the E’jiao production process. The
